Technical Details
3X.MA is the most comprehensive model in the Avioni 3X angle and inclinometer family. It combines inclinometer and angle sensor functions in one enclosure, reducing mounting space, wiring and system complexity compared with separate sensors. Designed for simultaneous monitoring of chassis/platform tilt and rotation angle on mobile cranes, aerial work platforms, port equipment and LMI applications.
Tilt Measurement (X-Y — Inclinometer)
In horizontal mounting, 3X.MA performs dual-axis tilt measurement on X and Y. Range is ±60°; tilt limit adjustable via CAN to ±15°, ±30°, ±45°, ±60° or ±75°. Tilt resolution 0.01° (range -75.00° – +75.00°), reducible to 0.1° via CAN. Enables precise monitoring of platform imbalance, chassis inclination and boom tilt.
Angle Measurement (Z — Angle Sensor)
In vertical mounting, 3X.MA provides single-axis 0–360° angle measurement. Range configurable as 0–360° or -180° .. +180° via CAN; direction clockwise or counter-clockwise. Resolution 0.01° (0.00° – 359.99°), adjustable to 0.1° via CAN. Accuracy ±0.1° in both modes.
Filtering and Cross-Axis Compensation
Built-in filter balances sensitivity differences between axes for consistent readings regardless of mounting orientation. Moving average and Kalman filters against vibration and dynamic motion deliver stable data for LMI calculations.
CANopen Communication
Node-ID 1–127 (default: 1). Baud rate 20 kbps – 1 Mbps (default: 250 kbps). Message period 10–1000 ms (default: 100 ms). Heartbeat 0x700 + Node-ID. Optional redundancy for safety-critical use.
Mechanical and Electrical Features
Stainless aluminum housing with polyurethane resin fill. IP67. -40 °C to +85 °C. 8–35 V DC with full electrical protection. M12 4 or 5-pin connector.
3X Product Family
3X.SA: vertical single-axis angle only. 3X.DA: horizontal dual-axis tilt only. 3X.MA: both in one sensor. Choose 3X.MA when both tilt and angle are required.
System Integration
Integrates with Avioni ECUs, HMIs and LMI software. Complete LMI with ALX draw-wire sensors and PL1000 load cells. Commissioning via Javelin Suite.
Typical Applications
• Chassis tilt and turret angle in LMI systems
• Platform levelling on aerial work platforms
• Combined tilt + angle on mobile cranes and port equipment
• Safety limit control and excessive tilt alarm
• Compact installations requiring multi-axis measurement in one sensor
